Whether you are newly diagnosed with HIV, require ongoing treatment, are returning to care, want to get tested, or believe you are at risk, we can help. The StayWell HIV care team is as diverse as the patients who receive some or all of the services we offer to this special group of patients. We recognize the social, emotional, logistical and financial challenges that are experienced by many. Patients are treated with dignity by team members who will assist patients with navigating these challenges.
Case managers and clinicians partner with patients to reach their health goals in all areas of their well-being, not solely on their HIV infection. Those living with the virus have a long life to live when the disease is managed well. Other health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or cancer screenings must not be forgotten. StayWell takes care of it all.

All of our sites provide HIV testing, education, counseling, and treatment. We provide confidential, rapid HIV testing, as well as education about prevention. HIV PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) are available. PrEP is a highly effective one pill per day treatment approved to prevent HIV infection, and we can help connect you to financial assistance if necessary. PrEP is a short-term drug regimen that prevents transmission of HIV, and must be started within 72 hours of exposure. If you are not a patient, we are able expedite your enrollment so you can obtain PrEP through our providers!
You can take an HIV test at home or wherever you are in the Greater Waterbury Area! Care for yourself and your community by testing for HIV while remaining socially distanced. To request a free at-home HIB test, call 203-756-8021 Ext. 3918 or 3406. Please leave a voicemail if we are unable to answer your call. You will receive a response as soon as we are able.
